MOD DISCUSSION
Hey game, Korel here.
So as some of you know, I recently started a new full-time job that's a bit more dynamic and brainwork-heavy than my old job, which only required skills that I could do in my sleep from 10 years of doing them. This is a really exciting thing for me, especially since I'm finally putting my degree to use and already being pushed into stuff I find really interesting by my supervisor.
This has also pushed me out of a rut I was in where I was actually a little more depressed than I realized. The downside is it does take a lot out of me and while there are going to be times it's practically dead (like outside of tourist seasons where I live) there are also going to be times it's really active (tourist season and when certain city bills go out and have people coming in to pay). Having a job that's a little more exciting has also been pushing me to be more productive in other areas of my life, like writing and hiking, and I've realized I really need to balance those things in my life more to be happy.
One of the things I've been struggling with and freezing up over since starting the new job is playing my PCs alongside modding. Having PCs (or at least one PC) is something I really need to stay invested in the game but trying to make AC alongside mod stuff has been paralyzing. While npcing and modding is easy to be excited about, the idea of juggling that with consistent PC character tags alongside it is daunting. Juliet has also been struggling with that since her job is high responsibility and requires a lot of brainpower during the day, too, especially during summer when it gets busier for her too.
We both think that moving forward with the game is possible for us but also that with my time and energy levels changing and therefore less I can individually take on, that we need to make some adjustments in how we handle things. So we talked it over with our comods and came up with something we think is reasonable.
