CROSSROADS POST ※ 1
Every so often, the mods will put a crossroads post by the player base to give them an idea of some of the choices their characters will have in the future. After the upcoming camp period at Melai Temple, the characters will receive a hint about where they can head to for answers and come to a crossroads and choose between three paths.

None of these paths will be labeled with a name, the characters will only see three potential paths in the distance, leading to them choosing to travel through one of these three potential locations:

This unlabeled path leads down a dark and dreary road towards some hills. One hill can be seen all the way in the distance, standing out above the others. Rising a thousand feet above the rest of the land around it, it's covered in battered ruins that offer at least some shelter from the elements and cover from potential enemies.

Not that the squad knows it, but this hill is being watched. Barrow-Wraiths live in the hills around Weathertop and if the squad travels through the misty barrow-downs, their coming may be communicated to more powerful dark forces. The Nazgul once lurked here when this hill was part of Middle-Earth and if they are to be summoned here again, they won't show up alone.

This unlabeled wooded path clearly leads to a sinister-looking wild forest. The Forbidden Forest was once located outside the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry but after the scrambling of the Wizarding World it's now been thrown off kilter. Now this dark and dreary wood lies exactly where the squad needs for it to not be, on one of the only paths between them and the answers they seek.

These wild woods are far more dangerous than the Cedar Forest they've been traveling through, with distrustful centaurs, wild unicorns, and a massive family of giant spiders. But terrifyingly enough: Aragog the giant spider may no longer hold sway here. Rumor has it that a greater evil has deposed the giant spider, one that's even harder to reason with, one that has left the centaurs and unicorns and giants and other wild creatures of the forest living in fear.

Not that the squad will know all that, but it sure is pretty sinister to look at, isn't it?

This unlabeled path quickly devolves to being made of candy right near the crossroads. It's bright and happy and filled with sunshine and smiles, leading down a sunny path to a place that's filled with candy and joy! From the crossroads, it's easy to see that the path to Candy Mountain is perfect and bright. If the characters choose this path it will only be fun and sunshine and smiles and there will be no danger at all!

The vote will not happen now.
