Character Name: Jason Dixon

Canon: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Basic personality: According to other players and to common sense, he's the "...and Zoidberg" of the team. He's wildly incompetent, bigoted, impulsive, dumb as a post, got zero self-esteem, got a serious binge-drinking problem, loudmouthed with no skill to back it up, violent at the drop of a hat and basically constantly on the edge of a complete emotional meltdown at any given moment. Ebbing's finest right here.

What has happened to them recently?: He's gotten into multiple fistfights, beaten a raccoon to death with a rock, been forced to cold-turkey off cigarettes, found out how to get drunk on magic and managed to alienate about half of the camp by being an aggressive loudmouthed jackass. Oh, and Daryl dislocated his shoulder.

Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: I am planning to have Dixon undergo the redemption arc that the canon set up as a possibility but did not conclude, which means he would become a better person over time. There's a dollop of potential at his core and I plan to explore that throughout the game, so I am hoping to have CR that fosters that ability to improve and Be Less Crap at Ethics. There is a part of him that can be gentle, protective and joyful, and even now he's loyal as a dog. He just needs a lot of guidance, tough love and whipping into shape. #teamReformDixon2018.

HOWEVER.

I am basically down for any type of CR. If you want your character to manipulate Dixon into becoming their evil henchman, I'm down for it. If you want your character to become mortal enemies with him, sign me up. One of the things I enjoy about playing such a deeply flawed and unlikable character is that there's such a huge variety of negative CR to play along with the positive.

Canon: DC Comics
Basic personality: Slightly intimidatingly capable teenager who has no problem with making demands, though generally is willing to let other people do the actual leadership. Maybe overly accepting of weird scenarios. Overall, she's game for everything and at least open to trying any not-immediately fatal/devastating idea at least once.

What has happened to them recently?: Anita's still very new to the game, oops.

Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: I'm interested in getting Anita more baseline CR with other characters in the game to get a better spread overall in the game! I'm also planning on having Anita dip a bit more into her vodoun, especially once we get things rolling, so come the next camp she's probably going to be up for being found sacrificing the local equivalent to a chicken or something to ask for some answers, which will no doubt be Fun with some of the others to find out. Right now Anita is very much a physical fighter type character and I'm interested in slowly transitioning her to be more willing to use her abilities in general beyond out of just desperation, as well as explore more of the sort of grey area she's in a bit compared to most DC characters.

Canon: Kubo and the Two Strings
Basic personality: Bossy angry assassin-star-goddess who turned her back on her violent immortal family to marry an Actual Cinnamon Roll and have his Actual Cinnamon Son, and paid disproportionately for it. She's stuck unhappily as a monkey now, currently motivated by the possibility of getting answers to the only two questions she cares about - did her son escape her sister with his soul intact, and why is she not in an afterlife with her husband?
What has happened to them recently?: She died, threatened a bunch of people, had a sobbing breakdown in front of the entire gang, was talked out of some very hopeless ideations by Dixon of all people, and got a cursed sword.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Sariatu's cursed sword will slowly sap her sentience, and while she'll need to make friends and connections who can convince her to maybe not turn THIS quest into the suicide run that her last quest was, it's going to be slow going because she's aggressive and kind of mean. She admires kind people though and has the potential to get maternal, in an eat-your-vegetables go-to-bed kind of way, with younger characters.

Seriously, I look forward to seeing where these two jerks go as they try to pull out of their respective tailspins. Dixon's got a good deal of empathy by now for grieving mothers, on account of actually taking an interest in the Angela Hayes case in canon, and Sariatu's sadness is something he really gets as he's working through some hard grief himself. I could see this developing into a relationship where the two of them confide in each other and seek advice or solace, in spite of the surface mismatch.

Basic personality: 13ish kid who's made his way in the world by living in the streets and stealing everyone's shit. His outer layer is cynical and reserved, but there's some idealism under the surface that he frequently tries to pretend isn't there.
What has happened to them recently?: Mostly, he's been noting that this party is full of knights and superheroes and similarly ~important types~, which has possibly made him feel even more out of place than the fact that he's the baby of the group. He's been pulling his weight (being a fantasy character and thus actually knowing how to function without electricity, eyeroll at everyone!!), but quietly. You know, blending in like a good rogue.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Whenever we hit a real town I want him to be like "oh, we need x, sure, I'll get it" and then someone realizes he's talking about the five finger discount and is like WAIT? But more generally, I want to crack that candy coating and get to the idealistic chocolatey filling! Sothe is a good kid, honestly, he just curls up in a prickly ball because Fire Emblem is horrible to children. He accidentally got dragged through a war, he killed people, and he absolutely thinks of himself as Not A Kid; I'd like to get him to realize that it is, in fact, okay to be a kid sometimes.

Character Name: Kon-el/Superboy
Canon: DC Comics
Basic personality: Kon is a big, well-meaning puppy of a superhero who is trying very hard to live up to Superman's standards so that he can take his place as Superman when Kal someday retires. He's either incredibly earnest or incredibly sarcastic based on circumstances, and often goofy when he's hanging out with people he likes. He's also deeply selfless and courageous, and already died saving the world once. (He got better).

Kon is a clone and is only about 3-4 years old. He can be very naive about certain things because while he was aged up to his teens and programmed with the appropriate knowledge and basic personality, he lacks a lot of life experience. That said, he's a fast learner. The second he gets put on his ass by something in life, he learns from it, and sometimes can be a pragmatic (and slightly blunt) voice of reason about things he does have experience with.

What has happened to them recently?: After finding out about his powers with the fight with the Wheelers, and with having it so the temple affected his Necromancer stuff, Kon's self consciously dealing with having dark magic. He's not totally mopey about it though and has been using his farmboy skills trying to help the group get supplies together.

Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Half of Kon's DNA comes from superman but the other half comes from Lex Luthor and he was mind controlled by Lex and forced to hurt this friends once. So he's got a bit of a complex about it and is terrified of going evil and/or bald. The Necromancer powers are definitely making him worry about that. He needs to get over it and learn to use them.

Overall though he's not a particularly angsty guy. He'll be really nice and caring with most people and pretty gregarious. But I'm also open for negative CR since Kon's the type to get in people's faces if he thinks they're being jerks.

ALSO I'm okay with canon puncture. Kon's cloned from Supes and that's pretty recognizable.

Basic personality: Lawful Tired teen with a government-recognized talent for detective work and a fancy special title to prove it. Ranges from Sad And Anxious to straight-up Shonen Protagonist Determination depending on the circumstances. He's surprisingly great at believing in people and getting along with others for someone who's had to repeatedly find out yet another one of his friends murdered someone.
What has happened to them recently?: Just got here! So besides a teensy bit of settling in, he's pretty fresh off a whole lot of canon murdergame bullshit.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: He needs to meet more people and get better established within the geoup! He's gonna be suspicious and silently questioning everything for a while because Reasons but overtly abnormal shit like aliens and magic and whatnot will get a particularly fun reaction out of him. Also, his magic weapon is a katana that can compel those cut by it to tell the truth and he has no idea what it can do yet so that might be something fun to play with.

Canon: Houseki No Kuni
Basic personality: A bit dumb and vain but they've got a heart (and arms) of gold. There's a lot of trauma buried under an easygoing exterior here but luckily their mental health is doing better these days so all is probably good, right? Right.
What has happened to them recently?: Showed up with the first group, tried to fight Dixon twice because they didn't understand the concept of statues. Now they're settling in and feeling vaguely awkward about being one of the few overtly not-human members of the squad and not knowing how to contribute when they really aren't good at much and don't understand a lot of basic necessities for y'all organic people very well. Most recently just got shipped off to the Brugh so that's a whole new adventure.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Any kind of shenanigans based around them being a dumb rock are always enjoyed. And there's lots of fun aspects of the Brugh to play around with too. They're definitely gonna be whining a fair bit about the eternal wintery weather there so expect that and them being super lethargic due to the weak sunlight. Also I'm very much hoping to get them fucked up in some future conflict just so the squad gets to deal with them just straight up losing a leg or something because that's always fun.

Character Name: Cassandra "Cassie" Sandsmark, AKA Wonder Girl
Canon: DC Comics
Basic personality: Cassie's super hero origin story is deciding that Wonder Woman needed help (hers, specifically),stole some magical items out of Wonder Woman's closet, and jumped into a fight Wonder Woman was losing. She got knocked for a loop in one hit, but that didn't stop her from becoming a super hero. She has slightly more good sense, combat training, and threat assessment skills now, but just as much enthusiasm. She's very compassionate, but has a strong tendency to shove her foot in her mouth.
What has happened to them recently?: She arrived on location, losing her magical lasso in the process, and found a bunch of her friends. Including one from the past. It's weird.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Cassie's roughing it abilities-wise, but she has some basic survivalist skills from her Amazon training and she's interested in learning more. She doesn't tend to take a lot of shit from people, but she's also not as invulnerable as she's used to being which will trip her up a time or two.

Basic personality: Just your average happy, down-to-earth teenager who in no way has done some real dark and bad shit to her peers due to jealousy, resounding bitterness, and an existential crisis.

What has happened to them recently?: Apparently Monika has been unsettling just about everyone with how upbeat and peppy she is, which is hilarious to me. She's currently going back and forth on how "real" any of this is while beginning to develop her memory powers. She's also been talking to the others and getting to know them and/or having pleasant conversation.

Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Monika will at some point (hopefully soon) find out that she's made it to the Real World and she's gonna be feeling some type of way about that. Part of me also wants her to really open up about all the bad shit she's done and what her life's been like for her pre-game. Additionally, some self-defense or weapons training might come in handy! Ultimately, I want to treat her entire time here into a Redemption Arc for (again) all the bad shit she's done.

Basic personality: Tryhard do-gooder who takes on the class clown roll for himself, to the point of annoying others, because he's trying to somewhat recapture the person he used to be. He recognizes that that Robbie made people less uncomfortable than the near-silent, self-blaming, damaged person he had become. Nowadays, he's the former on the outside and the latter on the inside.
What has happened to them recently?: Robbie came to the game from one of those comic book death machines that appeared to be killing him and his entire team, so that is still bothering him, obviously. He broke his hand trying to activate his normal superpowers (which generally appear on impact and protect him) and has since healed it with the new magic thing that he is treating like a useful dead bug.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: While I say that he's treating the magic thing like a useful dead bug, I haven't had him ICly discuss it. The spell that he used has a penalty of knocking him out if he's already had a long, active day, so he barely remembers what went down. So someone needs to clue him in there.

Other than that, he's currently in the Throne Room in the Brugh, although Brainy has warned him out.

What has happened to them recently?: New! But mostly just meeting and/or watching people.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Just trying to get him settled in the sense that he's here for the long haul and has to get used to. It won't take him long, but he's gonna be pretty anti-social until then. He's already very anti-social and not into be long conversations, but once he comes to accept that he's here for a while, he'll start being more in and around the group at large doing things and talking here and there. When he isn't out hunting to try and keep them all fed.

Also, he'll eventually insist on everyone learning how to fight and how to kill and clean animals, even if they can't hunt worth shit. And probably how to recognize some of the plants for if they're safe to eat or not. What plants he's familiar with anyway.

Basic personality: Bart is a blunt, hyperactive, impulsive teenage superhero who doesn't have the best hang of reality or sometimes even socializing (he's not always great at reading emotions and sarcasm, and wordplay can often fly over his head) after having grown up in a VR game.
What has happened to them recently?: Bart came in from just before he gets his kneecap shot, and he is basically trying to ignore that that was a thing that happened and concentrate on the now. As is his way. He's mostly just been bugging people, worrying the adults, and trying to keep himself busy around the camp by exploring, collecting food, making bags out of clothes and cooking.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: I don't really have any solid plans right now but I'm interested in getting CR with everyone! He could use someone cluing him in on what the mirrors do, because he has no pockets and hasn't been carrying his around. Honestly, it kind of freaks him out a little because it keeps appearing near him and it could be some Mirror Master junk. He's also lost his powers and had them replaced with Acharivist magic that lets him absorb or reflect spells. So he's been playing around with that and might be asking around the group to stock up on some of theirs.

Basic personality: Noble and chivalrous knight, responsible, serious and driven. Loves food.
What has happened to them recently?: Saber arrived in the Wilderlands and has so far met with a variety of this interesting cast of characters, including a dragon. Almost got into a fist fight with Dixon bc Dixon is an asshole. Palling around with Revan because SWORDS.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: I'm basically going with the flow for now! Arturia is already a really noble and brave hero kind of person, so her default is to just. Do right and fight evil. I'm still figuring out how I'd like to develop her. Pretty open to just about any kind of CR.

Basic personality: Alacruun is an arrogant, would-be tyrant (and a dragon, but I repeat myself) who also happens to know how to figure out what people want and then give it to them in awful ways. Also secretly a giant nerd and loves reading and discovering things. Horrifically lacking in empathy and any amount of self-reflection. Generally suave and smooth and also still not a Good Person.
What has happened to them recently?: Fairly new! Been hanging out at the temple and making a nuisance of himself by taking up all the space on the temple steps, as well as seeing what magic is flitting around in this world.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Alacruun is happy to either teach about or learn about magic from people, so that's a potential point of contact. He also needs people to potentially help him settle in and expand his tendrils into the group. He is not a nice person, even if he acts polite and comes off as charming at times. He will be the one suggesting the most expedient methods of attack or progress, usually at the cost of people who aren't in the group (and sometimes people who are). He will walk over a carpet of bodies to get what he wants.

So, looking for people who either want to be sort of lulled into a sense of security about him, people who want to foil him being a dick, people who want to be victims of his dickery, all that kind of thing.

Bart has kind of a bad habit of sometimes trusting people he shouldn't, or giving them the benefit of the doubt, so I would be all for letting him get duped into thinking Alacruun's an okay dude, only to have it bite him in the ass later.

Also, he's still learning about his new magic and is pretty much going to everyone else with magic to help him out so, that could definitely work as an opening for CR.

Basic personality: Her truest self is that one friend who sprawls on the floor and throws individual popcorn kernels at you until you agree to go get her another beer from the fridge which she is actually closer to than you are...but currently she's staggering from a huge revelation that her life is a lie and is aggressively on her Jedi bullshit in response, so it's not showing yet. I mean she's brave, loyal, generous, etc., sure, but she's also a grown-ass adult who thinks "does this bug you? I'M NOT TOUCHING YOUUUUU" is funny.
What has happened to them recently?: Tried to de-escalated a confrontation, got interrupted by half the game. Fished (Jason) Dixon out of a dumpster, brushed the coffee grounds out of his hair, and decided to keep him. Discovered how hard she's been nerfed and is unhappy about it but mostly not making it other people's problem. Starting to make friends. Completely baffled by the concept of a preindustrial society but not really complaining about it. Extremely annoyed about not having working lightsabers.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Fourth-walling by characters who'd know Star Wars is a-ok, just no plot details--so it's fine to know about Jedi and Wookiees and whatnot, but don't tell her about the KotOR games or Luke Skywalker and the worst family reunion ever, etc. She's also got some low-level mental powers I've got a permissions post for here.

My only actual plan is get a couple of swords ASAP. I'm a quality RPer.

Basic personality: A dork with superpowers! Optimistic to a fault though he tries not to be naive. Raised on a farm he always tries to do the right thing, but he’s been around for so long he can be kinda stubborn sometimes.
What has happened to them recently?: n/a
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: I don’t have anything specific planned! He’s going to try to get to know as many people as possible, and lbr he’s going to work hard to find a way home. Good thing about Clark is he’s a super friendly guy so he’s going to try to befriend literally everyone he comes across. He lost most of his powers so he’s going to be adapting to that- he’s not going to be complaining about it 24/7 but it IS a big part of his identity so he’s probably going to have to come to terms with it.

Other than that he’ll try to be as helpful as he can during his stay here.

What has happened to them recently?: He was waiting in the tower for his true love's a dementor's kiss and got thrown right into the Wilderlands. So far he's escaped the wheelers, grabbed some food, is starting to look less like a corpse, and is going by the name Padfoot.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: He's going to be chilling in the Brugh for a while so he can recover physically after being in Azkaban and then an escaped convict. I might have him discover the waterfall memories and I plan on having him examine the mirror of erised for the brugh post. He could use a friend or two.

What has happened to them recently?: she literally just got here
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Ovelia is coming in post-death, alongside her personal protector Agrias, so that's a Very Awkward conversation hanging over their heads, and she also just really doesn't know what to do with herself just yet in this world. She's going to stick with Agrias like a scared child, so most of her CR will likely come filtered through her.
