Welcome to the Wilderlands, wild things!

The game is now officially open and kicking off its beta round with a first meet n' greet. For this first event, characters will find themselves in the game world and start having randomized encounters with other characters that let them have their first introductions. To start with, the characters won't have full access to the magical language of the setting, making things a little more challenging for characters that speak different languages. It'll slowly come to them over the course of their threads.

The mods will put up another post (in a week or so, based on the speed of play) where the characters are finally grouped together in one place in the event setting and have to face their very first enemies and decide on their next path.

NOTES
✦ Post in actionspam format. Plots and mod-run events in the game are meant to be in actionspam format to keep a brisk pace.

✦ The language difference can be overcome at whatever pace players want. It's meant to be a fun element for some of the speakers of different languages that must be overcome, but players don't have to drag it out and can handwave it going at whatever pace they prefer.

✦ Players can opt to keep their test drive threads as game canon or handwave their character as forgetting them. Characters who remember the test drive will remember their experience as having been thrown head first in the situation, being briefly zapped home, and then falling asleep and having the standard "welcome" experience with the Green whispering in their ears.

✦ The magic won't let the group be in one place yet. The mods will post a new event post when they're finally gathered.

✦ All powers, magic, and weapons will be active from the start. Characters with magic weapons will find these weapons lying next to them on the ground when they wake up.

✦ All characters will be involved in the game's first few events. Only then will some of them be sent to the Brugh so that the main quest only has one character per player.

Is The Gang Does a Meet-up Meant to cover their first overnight encampment?

No, it's just a place for the squad to all meet in one place and maybe work out the existence of the quest bond mechanic.

It's going to be followed by an attack and their first fight and then after they escape, the mods will explicitly set up their first camp period.
