Character Name: Jason Dixon
Canon: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
Basic personality: Violent fuckup trying to do better by being a violent fuckup with principles, maybe.
What has happened to them recently?: Dixon just arrived here, but prior to doing so he hit rock bottom after his susbtitute father figure committed suicide, he threw someone out a window, he got fired, he got set on fire, and then he got the shit beaten out of him trying to solve a case that turned out to be a dead-end. Due to a letter Dixon's chief left him, Dixon's trying to do better than just be an abusive lowlife, but he doesn't know how and is grappling at anything that makes him feel like he's doing something. This means he's at a pretty susceptible point for reform or just CR-building generally!
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Right now Dixon's adrift and without a moral compass. Most people would take this moment to reckon with their beliefs, but Dixon's a keep-moving-and-don't-think-too-hard kind of guy, so he's going by impulse. That means he's going to stick to anyone who provides him some sense of direction and structure if only because it'll give him a discrete task. If your character needs a gopher or a lapdog or a papa bear or some other kind of mammal, now may be a good time to build some CR before Dixon reverts to his lazy oafish incompetent ways.

Basic personality: When on her guard, surrounded by enemies, or otherwise just not chill, Revan is dignified, confident, and always has a plan. When relaxed and around people she likes or at least trusts, she's still confident and still always has a plan, but dignified goes out the window; she'd would show up to Thanksgiving in PJ pants, Uggs, and a "Sun's Out, Guns Out" tank top--and yet somehow manage not to get disowned.
What has happened to them recently?: HAHA she just found out her life is a lie and she's actually the mindwiped Evil Emperor of her era so she's real far on the [screams internally] end of things right now. It won't show, though.

Basic personality: Brave, dramatic, traumatized, funny, loyal, protective. he was screwed by life and framed for mass murder before it was literal curtains for him. You’ve probably read the series. If not, ask me and I will tell you more than you want to know.
What has happened to them recently?: Nothing here but before Wilderlands he was in a tower waiting for a Dementor’s Kiss like a damsel in distress.

He’s not the kind to sob it out, but just talking to someone will be nice. I’m up for positive or negative CR, but if it’s negative be warned that he’s kind of unhinged at the moment since he’s from when he was on the run. I don’t really have much planned for him currently but give me time.

Also his hair is a mess and he looks emaciated. Azkaban was not kind. He'll look better as time goes on.

What has happened to them recently?: Day-to-day things an Agent of her world does - track down sinners, threaten them, deliver penance to them by setting their houses to be destroyed in the name of Him. Has had no way to change their situation. Until now.

Basic personality: Externally: A superhero that takes the kinds of villains that eat stars to the cleaners on a regular basis and thus his crazy-bullshit-o-meter is just utterly broken. Prickly, arrogant, sometimes says something insightful or interesting or thoughtful only to ruin it moment's later with an insult or crankiness. Will be eternally salty about all the magic and seem dead set on making no friends. Sort of struggling to hold onto his idealism.

That said, this is Brainy putting his flaws forward to keep people at a distance as a self-protective measure because caring about people has started to really hurt ever since Brainy's universe died. Under the salt, he's still arrogant, compassionate, daring, arrogant, selfless, and did I mention arrogant?

He's going to be a lot better at showing regard for people than saying it.

Basic personality: Anxious control freak, huge nerd, constantly suffering, has a good heart under the mess. Just wants to live in an ordered universe where everyone picks up their goddamn socks and does what they're supposed to do. Fucks up a lot. Also, a cyborg.
What has happened to them recently?: Simmons and his friends became war heroes in a space civil war, then officially retired from heroing. Now he's here. He supposes he can make an exception because omg this is some real Dungeons & Dragons shit and honestly his fanboy heart might explode.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Simmons knows a lot of geek media better than I do, honestly. I won't assume anyone's fine with being 4th walled unless you tell me you're into it, though. Mostly, he knows scifi/fantasy canons from books and movies and tv shows, sometimes video games. His genre-savvy might prove useful in here somewhere, too.

He's really good for comically awkward situations and fussing over the small details of things in general.

There's a very inconsistent but present running joke in canon about some women making Simmons so nervous he stammers. I can take or leave it as necessary. If you want to take a shot at wrecking Simmons because he respects someone so much he can't make words, though, let me know.

Canon: Kubo and the Two Strings
Basic personality: Bossy angry assassin-star-goddess-turned-monkey who's deep in grief, cares mainly about whether or not her son was murdered recently or not, and is going to throw everything she's got into this quest just on the off chance that he isn't.
What has happened to them recently?: She just found out that the travelling companion she and her son picked up on their quest was actually her "late" husband, who was NOT in fact murdered by her sisters and father eleven years ago, but wiped of his memory, transformed into a giant bug, and cast out into the wilderness. And then her sister stabbed him to death for reals this time. Then stabbed her to death too. She's having a bad day.

She admires kind people though and has the potential to get maternal, in an eat-your-vegetables go-to-bed kind of way, with younger characters.

Basic personality: 13ish kid who tries to act Super Adult. Does not always succeed. While he's got a marshmallowy idealist core, he buries that under a crunchy outer shell of "the world doesn't care about you and most people aren't worth trusting," so he tends to be wary and slow to warm up to people, but those who persist will find a pretty good kid underneath.
What has happened to them recently?: Back home, his adopted sister (the one person he trusts more than anything in the world) took off without telling him why. In the process of trying to chase her down and ask her WHAT THE HELL, he fell in with a group of mercenaries and helped them fight a war against his home country. He's got mixed feelings about that. And now he's stuck with you weirdos instead of the person he's looking for??? thanks, obama

He insists he doesn't need an adult; sometimes this is even true! But despite the whole homeless orphan schtick and being used to having to fend for himself, I would enjoy seeing him get some people actually adulting at him. He's a thief, more the "what I need to survive" type than the rampaging klepto type, but once we hit some proper towns that could be an avenue to Shenanigans.

She's actually had a pretty lonely life and could use some actual friends to keep her chill in the face of some pretty heavy stuff that she's learned about herself. 4th walling and hitting her up with tropes and genre knowledge is perfectly fine, too. Basic personality: Curious, impulsive, and empathetic rock slowly recovering from hitting one hell of a low point. They're hella Complicated™ and frequently make poor life choices but they're trying, okay???
What has happened to them recently?: Had the most literal mental breakdown possible recently but at least it prompted a bit of an epiphany about why they were so very fucked up so they're doing better now. Got super wrecked along with a few friends but everyone survived so that went pretty well. Mostly struggling with some personal conflicts lately and trying to make better choices so they can stop ruining everything.
Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Phos does very poorly when they're feeling isolated so they need friends asap. Luckily, they're a pretty friendly person even to bizarre strangers. It'll help that they're separated from all the shit back home they've been having issues with, but more than anything they need people they feel like they can rely on so as to not backside into a pit of depression, insomnia and hallucinations.

Basic personality: A nice guy, but you get the sense that he’s closing off the really intimate parts of himself in casual conversation. He’s smart, a little sarcastic, and he doesn’t panic easily.

Upcoming plots, future plans, wanted CR, or other things to note about this character: Tim is still healing from the worst 2 years ever, which saw his father, girlfriend, two of his best friends, and his adoptive father die. Four of those came back/weren’t really dead, and the resultant emotional whiplash has left Tim feeling disconnected from his old sense of self. He’s made a lot of choices that the old Tim wouldn’t have touched with a ten foot pole and is trying to figure out who he is now. That’s not a steep order, right?

Canon: Dragon Ball
Basic personality: Really intense and careful dude who's spent a good chunk of his life fighting and has a hard time just turning it off. As such, he's really protective of other people, kind of depressing and pessimistic when thinking about himself, but overall pretty friendly and easygoing around friends, to the point where he'll force optimism to inspire hope rather than make his pessimism known.
What has happened to them recently?: Well, he died. Which might've been intentional, since I personally think someone like Gohan would've known he had no chance fighting the androids by himself with one arm. As such, his state of mind's pretty messed up right now, since he's convinced the best thing he can do for everyone around him is to die to motivate Trunks. But now he's alive again, and uh... that'll be interesting, for someone who was ready to die.

Like, he's spent his whole life watching everyone he knew die, so just having real friends again would be a change of pace. Trunks and Bulma up there? Canon: Dr. McNinja
Basic personality: He used to be a complete dorky nerd ninja who tried way too hard to be cool and wore gold chains and baseball caps backwards (over his ninja uniform), as well as being hugely into sci-fi and fantasy books. Now he's got that grizzled future scar™ and a less enthusiastic attitude, but the dork is not dead. A bit more pragmatic, a little more tsundere, but definitely not dead.
What has happened to them recently?: He's been fighting against a tyrannic regime of intelligent dinosaurs who were launched into space millions of years ago and returned to Earth as a technologically-advanced species, conquering the planet and making humans into second-class citizens once they found out what oil was made of. He's pretty bitter about it! It's been twenty years! Yes this is a completely serious matter!

He still be wearing a cape like Doctor Strange, and his technomage idea is absolutely not from Babylon 5, but good luck getting him to admit it. Using technology to masquerade as magic is also kind of his thing, as well as technology in general. So that's gonna be interesting. Hacking, holograms, tasers... You'd better believe he's gonna miss that so much. He's going to be very salty about that.

He could also be a huge help with disguises, and sneaking around!
