The more the kids spar, the likelier they are to stay alive, so Sariatu is on board with this.

I have a feeling she'll like Cassie a lot but try that much harder not to show it.

Well, Cassie is the daughter of a god and a mortal human who helped overthrow her godly parent when it became clear that humanity deserved better. I feel like that's the sort of thing Sariatu approves of.

(Too late, Sariatu, Cassie's combat training came primarily from a grumpy Amazon who didn't let her slide on her god-given powers and slept at the foot of her bed to keep her safe, she can totally tell you like her.)
